End Violence Against Women Week
WomanACT coordinates Toronto's End Violence Against Women Week; an entire week of education, training, policy development and planning that consists of forums, panel discussions, keynote speakers and cross-sectoral training.
Telling our Stories Workshop Series
Through the use of expressive arts, the Telling Our Stories workshop series offers a one-of-a-kind refreshing antidote to the pressures, isolation and stress that front-line staff may experience in the course of their daily work.
Room of Our Own
Room of Our Own is an initiative of WomanACT to provide a secure, online forum for Toronto's VAW sector workers to connect, learn from and support each other and to further the work of ending Violence Against Women and children.
Women With Lived Experience Advisory Group
The Women With Lived Experience Advisory Group is made up of volunteers who are abuse survivors and exists to ensure the voices, experiences and expertise of survivors are integrated into WomanACT activities and discussions.
The Policies Matter Project aims to address the policy conflicts and contradictions that “bump up” against each other and negatively impact women who experience violence and perpetuate unsafe situations.
Make it Our Business
This two-day comprehensive and highly interactive session gives Ontario employers the information and tools needed to fulfill their obligation to protect workers from domestic violence in the workplace.
