WomanACT are in the running for an Aviva Community Fund Award and are now through to the public voting round. We need as many votes as possible to support us through to the final round. If awarded, the funding will support the delivery of the Telling Our Stories project.
The Telling Our Stories project will provide training and support to front-line staff who are working directly with women and children in crisis. We know that providing support to women and children in crisis is incredibly important work that brings much gratification. However, we also know it can be extremely stressful and intensely demanding work as needs increase, and resources are stretched.
The project will provide a series of workshops for front-line staff, including staff working in shelter settings, advocacy roles, counselling capacities etc. The workshops use an interactive and creative approach to learning and sharing and offer a one-of-a-kind refreshing antidote to the pressures, isolation and stress that front-line staff may experience in the course of their daily work.
Find out more about the project and vote here today.
Every single vote counts! Voting is open from October 10th to 19th so don't miss out on your chance.
After voting please help us spread the word to your family, friends and colleagues. We have posts on Facebook and Twitter that you can share. If you would like to send an email to your family, friends and colleagues, download the word document here and copy and paste into an email.
Thank you for your support.
