The PLE Learning Exchange of Ontario supports organizations across Ontario in developing and delivering effective public legal education and information for their communities. Their website contains precious information for workers about how to support their clients and how to navigate the legal system.
They specifically offer resources to protect the victims of human trafficking. These resources were created by the Coalition Assisting Trafficked Individuals (CATI) to help train social service workers and non-traditional service providers on human trafficking. The project trains community and social service front line community workers in the London and Windsor areas on the social and legal issues facing people who are being trafficked. It also trains peer mentors such as taxi drivers, staff at hair and nail salons, and hotel and restaurant workers on these issues.
