The internet is a wonderful, yet very large, overwhelming tool. With such an array of information available at your fingertips, things may get confusing, blurred, or forgotten. As a front-line worker in the VAW sector, some resources available to individuals effected by domestic violence may get lost within the web.

Here is a brief reminder that Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) is able to provide legal assistance to individuals experiencing domestic violence. Anyone in Ontario who is experiencing domestic violence can call LAO at 1-800-668-8258 for a free two-hour consultation with a private lawyer.

Click here to call Legal Aid Ontario from your mobile device.

This service is also offered through many community shelters and legal clinics.
Need to find a legal clinic near you? Click here.

Please visit the Legal Aid Ontario website for more details on eligibility and their service.
