For the month of October, Scarborough Women's Centre is offering free workshops for women in transition! See the schedule below for details on available workshops:
Mondays 7-9 pm
Oct 2: Organic food: heal your body, heal yourself — Explore how organically grown foods are safer and more nutritious
Oct 16, Oct 23, Oct 30, Nov 6: Stress, depression and anxiety — This four week support group offers a safe space for women to have a voice to share the impact of stress, depression and anxiety they’re experiencing in their lives.
Tuesdays 7 to 9pm
Oct 3: Strengthen your immune system for better health -- Learn coping strategies that may aid in self-healing.
Oct 17: Quieting your inner critic — Take this opportunity to meet your inner critic face to face and to find ways to tame it.
Oct 24: Successfully navigate social media — We will explore how and why we interact with social media, how to use it to communicate effectively with others, and how to ensure we’re setting healthy limits with our use.
Wednesday 7 to 9pm
Oct 4: Intro to family law — A family law lawyer discusses topics like support, child custody, and other family law matters.
Thursdays 7 to 9pm
Oct 5 , Oct 12, Oct 19: Creating the life you were born to live — Learn to set powerful goals and get clear on your values.
Oct 26: Building resilience — Learn strategies that improve your resilience and how to deal with the emotional and psychological stressors that are all too often incapacitating.
Saturdays 10 am to 3 pm
Oct 14: Mastering change in your life — Gain important tools to master change through goal setting, discover core values that drive your choices, learn laws of success, and how to flow with change, release fear and master change in your life.
Oct 21: Self care wellness -- You will explore the importance of applying loving actions towards yourself for your overall wellness and learn some simple ways to include self-care actions into your busy daily routine.
Oct 28: Mindfulness for stress and trauma — In this workshop we’ll examine immediate ways to start building our self-confidence.
