The Immigrant and Refugee Communities Neighbours, Friends and Families (IRCNFF) Campaign
by OCASI, the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants, announced that they are currently seeking applicants to be a Peer Champion Educator on domestic violence.
Peer Champions are individuals passionate about taking action against domestic violence and would like to have a helping hand in making change for the better. In their role, Peer Champions hold two educational events in immigrant and refugee communities about domestic violence over the course of a year. This is a chance to get creative and develop your own event! To help, Peer Champions receive in-person training, resources and ongoing support from the campaign, as well as an honorarium for their efforts.
OCASI is currently looking for 21 Peer Champions from different regions across Ontario who must be part of an immigrant or refugee community.
