The Woman Abuse Council of Toronto (WomanACT) works closely with Members to provide a strong and collective voice for system change. Our members play an important role in driving and supporting ourcoordination, policy and community mobilization work.
Classes of Membership
WomanACT’s By-Laws set out two classes of membership:
a) General Members, who will have full voting rights, with membership fees as designated from time to time by the Board.
b) Associate Members, who are funders or government representatives, and will have no voting rights.
Meeting and Voting Rights
All members will receive invitations to attend WomanACT’s Annual General Meeting and quarterly Council meetings.
General members have full voting rights.
Policy Development and Advocacy
Members play an essential role in contributing to policy
submissions, research, and advocacy activities.
WomanACT mobilizes calls to action and looks to our Members for their
expertise and experience.
Information and News
WomanACT monitors the policy changes and emerging issues that impact our Members.
We aim to keep Members informed on what is happening through newsletters, publications, our blog and website.
Education and Networking
WomanACT creates opportunities for learning and collaborating through networks, training and forums.

How to Become a Member
Applications for membership may be submitted at any time during the year. You may either submit the membership application online or download the application and submit it to WomanACT's office with the required payment.
To become a member, you must agree to further WomanACT’s Vision, Mission and Values Statements.
